In 2007, in conjunction with the local community, we purchased 2.3 hectares of land in Kampong Tralach, Prey Thom Commune, about 10 kms from Kep, roughly 164 kms south of Phnom Penh. We have planted an orchard and established a raised bed vegetable garden and greenhouse. We experimented with a different technique of growing rice and have propagated and planted a large number of trees on the property.  We will begin fish farming in our dam in the near future as well as begin a pig rearing project shortly.

We are now embarking on a programme to employ organic methods in the production and marketing of wholesome fruits and vegetables within the local community.  We wish to encourage and teach land conservation and land management in an ecologically conscious way by practicing small scale sustainable business providing natural farm based products and byproducts and ongoing education programmes for the local community.  In the 2017/2018 school year, each class will have their own garden to care for and environmental studies will be included in the teaching curriculum.
